S137 Grants to Organisations benefitting the community

Grants may be given by Slyne-with-Hest Parish Council to voluntary and charitable organisations under S137 of the Local Government Act 1972.

The Parish has a limited fund available, the size of which is based on the number of residents in the Parish who are on the electoral roll.

Any organisation or group applying for a grant from the fund must demonstrate that the reason for their application will benefit some or all of the inhabitants of the Parish.  The grant cannot be awarded for the benefit of an individual or for political, religious or race-related causes.

Applications must be made in writing to the Parish Clerk.
