- Meetings of the Parish Council are generally held on the third Monday of each month, except where the Monday falls on a Bank Holiday. Meetings commence at 7pm at the Memorial Hall.
- Parish Council meetings, together with the Annual General Meeting and Annual Parish Meeting are open to any resident of the Parish of Slyne-with-Hest, members of the public not resident in the Parish and members of the Press to attend.
- There is a public forum at the start of each meeting when residents of the parish may a) make representations, b) answer questions or c) give evidence relating to the business to be transacted.
- Members of the general public from outside the parish and members of the Press have a statutory right to attend Parish Council meetings as Observers but are not permitted to join the discussion, unless invited by the Chair to do so.
